The site is now non-profit with all money going to charity.
Registration on Spark! is free. It is also free to read and reply to messages.
To be able to send messages you need to activate your account. Activation helps us keep out the spammers and other trouble makers.
To activate your account all we ask is that you make a one off donation of at least £20/€20 to a charity of your choice. Once this is done there are no other charges, no monthly fees or any other costs. 100% of your money goes straight to the charity. It does not go through us, so we do not take any cut at all.
Charity Donations? What is the catch?
No catch. Spark! used to be for profit but then the founder of the site met his own wife on the site and decided it was time to give something back. When it came to revamping the site he decided to turn it into a non-profit with all the money going to charity instead.
People can be suspicious of dating sites. As Spark! is a non-profit you can be assured that our only interests are helping single people find love. We are honest and open at all times. If we can also help to raise some much needed funds for charities, what is not to like about that? Everybody wins.
Faster access times: the site is on a new server and all the code has been optimised so the new site is now super fast! You will notice it is a lot faster when you are searching profiles and sending messages etc.
New mobile site: we know a lot of users are now accessing the site on their iphones etc so we have created a special mobile version of the website. When you visit the site on your phone you should automatically see the mobile site. If you don’t scroll to the bottom of the page and click the mobile version link. If you do not get the mobile site automatically, please email us and let us know what type of phone you have so we can make the site compatible.
New messaging system: the new system is a lot easier to use, it is now more similar to text messaging. You can now send people a message direct from their profile page.
Improved search: as well as searching being faster, we now have new search filter options to help you better find a match.
Register with facebook: you can now register and login to the site using your facebook account.
